Worthy 2026 | Missions Seminar

Join us on Saturday, June 13th as we seek to grow in our knowledge of God and his global worthiness to receive worship from all nations! The seminar will include a guest speaker, breakout sessions, and a lunch panel.

Doors open at 8:30am for coffee, and the program will begin at 9:00am. Please plan to stay for lunch at noon with our invited guests! The catered lunch option ($10/adult, $5/child) will be from Yiro-Yiro, but you are welcome to bring your own lunch if you choose. Please complete this registration even if you are not requesting the catered lunch option!

Speakers and breakouts:

JR Favela is lead pastor of Citylight Amarillo. JR along with his wife Megan planted Citylight Amarillo in 2023. They have seen God's faithfulness as JR shepherds a gospel-centered congregation in northern Texas.

There will be two breakout sessions at 10am and 11am. 

10am: 

• Meet an international worker: We will have the privilege of having one of Citylight's international worker families visiting with us from the Middle East, sharing their story and experience among the unreached.
• Go from the Get-Go: Understanding the Bible's Global Vision:  You heard that right! This breakout will explore a theology of missions across the Old and New Testaments. Taught by local pastor Eric Huber, we will see how God has always had a purpose to receive glory and praise from all nations!
• Could God call me? Hear from Citylight's very own Pastor Mark about how God called him to serve in an unreached part of the world, and how God's glory was displayed through obedience.

11am:

• Meet an international worker: We will have the privilege of having one of Citylight's international worker families visiting with us from the Middle East, sharing their story and experience among the unreached.
• Islam 101:  The thought of sharing our faith with a follower of Islam oftentimes feels intimidating. However, armed with a little knowledge and the love of Christ, God can work through us! Join us for this seminar led by a local worker to learn about Islam with the goal of sharing Christ with our Muslim neighbors. 
• Music and Missions: In so many places around the world, music is a powerful tool to spread the gospel and encourage believers. Pastor Mark will be joined by Brandon P, one of our international workers (via zoom), to hear about how God is using music to receive worship from all nations.
